Hepworth Adventures Ltd is directed by me, Jeremy Hepworth. I am passionate about the outdoors and will pass on my enthusiasm to you- whatever the weather!
I have been involved in walking and climbing all my life. My first major mountain summit was Snowdon in North Wales aged 7. Since then I have been on many adventures and have been involved in instructing either freelance or with centres since I was 17. I have now climbed Snowdon well over 100 times.
For a long time I have enjoyed running and during Covid, learnt how to run longer distances. In 2020 I ran my first ultra-marathon from the edge of London, along the North Downs and then south to Shoreham-on-Sea, 100Km. Following that, I have run numerous ultras around the UK and am the proud holder of a Centurion buckle for completing 100 miles in under 24 hours.
National Body Award Outdoor Qualifications
I have spent many years obtaining the necessary experience to pass qualifications administered by Mountain Training, and these are some of the awards I hold:
Mountain Climbing Instructor: This is the highest qualification for taking people out in summer conditions. It includes all aspects of technical rock climbing, and mountaineering in the UK.
Winter Mountain Leader’s Award: This covers walking in both Summer and Winter conditions in the UK and may involve the use of crampons and an ice axe.
Other qualifications I have are:
- Rock Climbing Instructor
- Summer Mountain Leader
- RYA Sailing Instructor
- BCU Canoe Coach
- RYA Powerboat Level 2
- RYA Safety Boat
I am a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) and regularly attend CPD training events. I try my best to get the balance between leading and instructing as well as having my own adventures and when I am not found up a mountain I am likely to be in pursuit of the perfect espresso enjoying the view.
