Overview

If you’re looking to have a relaxing yet adventurous week after your exams and end of term then our 5-day summer camp is the place to be! Our adventure week gives you a chance to try a whole range of activities, or you can focus specifically on rock climbing or surfing. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll have tonnes of fun learning new skills, and leave inspired to learn even more.

In the evening, we will organise a wide range of other events including a beach bbq, competitions, paddling or a chance to relax and enjoy the sunset over the sea.

We will be based near St. David’s in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in South West Wales.
The local area boasts some amazing beaches- Whitesands and Newgale for surfing, climbing at a number of beautiful locations such as Porth Clais and the popular sport of coasteering was invented here!

Cost

£395 per person.
This includes instruction, accommodation, all specialist equipment and food (3 meals per day).

2020 Dates

Monday 13th to Friday 17th July

Getting there

St. David’s is well served by public transport links. If you are arriving by rail we will meet you off the train at Fishguard station. Alternatively we would meet you in St. David’s off the coach (National Express), or at the camp site if you are driving.

Food

Eating is an important part of the week and you will cook (under supervision) food that you and your group have planned. Part of this week is about becoming self-sufficient, you will have a budget and as a group, decide on the menu for the 3 nights as well as breakfast and lunch each day.

Accommodation

You will sleep in 2 or 3 person tents on a quiet campsite that is often used by DofE expedition groups and school groups. We will also have a base-camp tent where we can cook and relax. Hepworth Adventures staff will also be staying on the camp site overnight.
The campsite has stunning views over the sea and there is indoor space if necessary to dry out kit and relax if it’s raining.

Equipment

All the technical equipment required to participate will be provided.
You will need only to provide your own personal clothing items, a sleeping bag and mat. You will receive a full equipment list when you apply. If you already have any equipment of your own such as a wetsuit or surfboard then you are welcome to bring it along.

Staff

At Hepworth Adventures we are proud of our staff. All the staff have worked regularly with under 18s as well as instructing. Many staff are also qualified teachers. We are able to offer a huge range of knowledge and experience to help you get the best out of these amazing sports.
